授業概要 This introductory course covers the basic concepts and theories of Macroeconomics. Macroeconomics focuses on economic problems at the aggregated (e.g., national) level. It examines the determination of important economic variables, such as the level and rate of growth of output (gross domestic product), the rate of inflation, the level of unemployment, as well as flows of imports and exports and the balance of trade.
授業の到達目標 The objective of this course is to introduce to students how economists think and analyze the economy as a system. Mathematical skills beyond simple algebra and graphical analysis are not required in this course.
