授業概要

【CJSP/TAISI Course】

The concept of social business has been attracting people who consider social issues and want to solve them through business approaches. However, the problems that we face vary and require innovative ideas and collaboration. This course offers students with strong interest in finding solutions for social problems through business activities in Japan (or other countries) the chance to develop their business ideas. The focus of this course is on understanding the process of developing ideas and making business plans, while considering the needs and motives of diverse stakeholders. Students are expected to work collaboratively to improve each other’s business ideas.

授業の到達目標 Through this course, the students will be able to:
- gain a basic knowledge of making of social business plans;
- develop the skills needed to seek and find information and to share ideas, work collaboratively and explore unfamiliar areas;
- develop knowledge about distinct perspective of stakeholders; and
- improve oral and written communication skills through assigned activities.
事前・事後学習の内容 It is essential that students do the required reading for contributing to in-class discussions and team exercises. Students are expected to carefully read and study the reading materials at home and to actively participate in in-class activities. Students are also expected to take the initiative to work on their projects outside the classroom.
