副題 Basic academic skills for social sciences
授業概要 【TAISI Course】
This course provides students to develop basic academic skills, such as reading academic papers, discussing on academic topics, and writing essays, which are necessary to study in social sciences in the university.
授業の到達目標 Through this course, the students will be able to:
- acquire a basic academic skills, which are required during their study; and
- improve oral and written communication skills through writing essays and presentation.
事前・事後学習の内容 It is essential that students do the required preparatory reading for in-class discussions. Students are expected to carefully read and study the materials at home. It is strongly recommended that students take notes when they read them. Note-taking is not simply a means to record information, but it is also an important part of your learning.
