Course Outline  This course will provide a survey of American cultural history in the second half of the twentieth century, including the beginning of the twenty-first century. We will try to understand the historical, social, economic, political, and artistic forces that shaped American culture during the second half of the twentieth century. The course will be conducted entirely in English, and students should be prepared to speak in English each week.
Objectives  Students will learn about significant events, people, and trends that occurred in the United States during the twentieth century. Students will also develop their English-language reading, writing, listening, and discussion skills.
before/after course of study  There will be short, weekly, online reading assignments. Students will also produce a group presentation.
