副題 Basic Training for Fieldwork
授業概要

Understanding environment though culture shouldbe analyzed the connotation of environment as a combination with Natural Science,Social Science and Human Sciences.

Students are required to seek out the conceptabout the sustainable social development from their own aspect attained by thefieldwork, the core competence of this lecture.

At least one time participation on thefieldwork that we proposed on the several times during the lecture’s period isnecessary for all the students of this course.

This class has four parts as below.Thinking the balance between “Human and Nature” to understand the generalconcept of cultural anthropology and create your innovative solution beyond thespecific case model and methods.


Final presentation providing feedback tothe local communities is essential as a final evaluation.

*You need to submit the reason of application through MyWaseda form if you want to take this course.

授業の到達目標 Course aims and methods

Understanding the concept of culture based on Human and Nature.
Develop the thought on a rural and urban relationship, multi-cultural diversity
Develop the skill of concept working and presentation
Active participation, discussion, expression and sharing
Readings the basic text about the environmental ethics and cultural anthropology
Utilize original web site of this lecture and spread your thinking to the public.

Part Ⅰ UNDERSTANDING OUR GENERAL CONCEPT OF CULTURE BASED ON HUMAN AND NATURE

1)APRIL 9   Orientation / Concept of Co-existence and Explanation of Fieldwork

2)APRIL 16  Paradigm of Biodiversity and Asian Wisdom (Sharing and Distributing each concept to the other person)

  

PART Ⅱ ANALYZING  CONNOTATION OF ENVIRONMENT BY CASE MODEL

3)APRIL 23  Method of Concept work 1 (Model Case for Imaging specific concept of "PEACE" to understand the multi-cultural study)

4)MAY 7   Method of field work  2 (Model Case for Making an interview)


5)MAY 13   Field Studies and Field Work in Kamakura for the basic training of observing and interviewing (SUNDAY Fieldwork)  ⇒No class on  MAY 21
